is it?

EEPROM (Electronic Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)
Device
We provide on
each product assembly or module you purchase, an EEPROM device that is
part of the main control interface. This device stores the product indentification,
manufacturing date, and production version. This data is used by the plug-n-play
software to configure the proper driver/GUI interface. In addition, the
EEPROM stores the service history of the card/module.
When a card/module is return to ASCOR for repair, a built-in service record
of the repair is recorded in the EEPROM. This provides immediate retrieve
of the history of the card/module should ever the product be returned
for repair, whether in-warranty or out of warranty.
With ASCOR's products and EEPROM, you can NOW identify and detect what
part of your system has failed without spending countless hours taking
your system apart to locate this failure. With our products, repair history
is embedded in our EEPROM and will indentifyand locate the specific failure
to the part.
Should ever the product be returned to ASCOR for repair and the defect
is repeated, this failure is immediately investigated to whether the fault
was customer cause or a fault in the part. If it is determined that the
failure was customer related and cause by design or factory, the customer,
usually the purchasing agent, is warned of the potential problem.
If the same model is returned for the third time, and the failure was
repeated for the third time, and again the cause is customer related,
then we communicate this to the actual user and try not to talk on to
the purchasing agent
