4000 Series Carriers

The 4000 Series Carriers come in various widths but act as single VXI modules. They offer flexible front panel connectivity and rapid board level replacement to ensure our customers enjoys minimal MTTR. The 4000 Series Carriers are available in widths of 3-wide (occupies 3 VXI slots) up to 8-wide (occupies 8 VXI slots). Customers can configure from 6 to 16 PCAs within the various Multi-Slot module options. All of the PCAs are removable from the front, so that in the event a PCA fails; you merely unplug the connector on the front of the PCA and removes the PCA from the Multi-slot module.

The 4000 Series carriers can accomodate both the 4000 Series and 4500 Series switch modules, although it is specifically designed to handle PCAs with either a .5 or .6 pitch.  The 4000 carriers carriers fit into our high performance VXI chassis.
